How do I make an Address, Name or Beneficiary Change?
To make an address, name or beneficiary change, please complete the Change Form, and email or fax back to The EDGE Customer Service Unit at customerservice@edgebenefits.com. How do I make a change to Banking Information? Mail, fax or email a copy of a new void cheque and Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Agreement to The Edge Benefits Inc. Please ensure to include your name and policy number.
For Health & Dental Pre-Authorized Debits, only the 1st of the month may be selected as a Pre-Authorized Debit date.
How do I change a Pre-Authorized Debit date? To change the withdrawal date on the policy, a signed & dated letter of direction along with a Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) Agreement is required. Please ensure to include your name and policy number. Please note this may result in an extra month's premium being collected. What methods of payment may I use? Visa, Master Card or Line of Credit are NOT accepted. Only monthly pre-authorized withdrawals are available. The Initial Premium can only be received in the form of a cheque, which should be made payable to The EDGE Benefits Inc.
How do I file a claim?
To file a claim, please contact our Claims Customer Care by phone 800-908-9917 x 401 or by email claimscustomercare@edgebenefits.com Once a claim is reported, our Claims Department will send out the claim package and start the claim process. What is the contact number for an Out of Province claim? For Health & Dental claims inquiries and specific claim forms, contact Green Shield Customer Service at 1-888-711-1119 or online at www.greenshield.ca Where do I submit a Green Shield claim? All Health & Dental original paid receipts, prescriptions and authorization forms must be sent directly to Green Shield. Mailing instructions are indicated on the Claim Submission Form. You can find these forms online at www.greenshield.ca Do I have to pay first and then submit my Green Shield claim? Depending on the institution (dental office, chiropractor, etc.), you might have to pay up front and submit the original receipts directly to Green Shield. Is there a waiting period on Health & Dental? Once the application is approved and the policy is in force the coverage will start on the 1st of the month following. Can a Single Parent and a child purchase Health & Dental Couple Coverage? Yes, a single parent and a child are considered a couple. Is there a minimum premium requirement for EDGE Coverage? No, there is no minimum premium required.
What happens if a payment is returned "Non Sufficient Funds"?
If the payment is returned from the bank marked "NSF", we may re-present the payment within 10 to 14 days from the withdrawal date or we will double up the payment next month. A letter will be mailed to you and an email will also be sent to the advisor with the confirmation. Can I put the policy on hold? The Edge Benefits cannot put the policy on hold. You must cancel the coverage or make a Stop Payment and re-apply for coverage. Where should EDGE Applications be submitted to?
