Submit a Claim

The Edge Benefits is committed to making it easy for clients to use their benefits. As a Third Party Administrator, we provide a concierge service to simplify and facilitate the claims process where possible. Depending on which coverage you have, some claims may need to be submitted directly to the insurer. Please see below claim instructions for each type of coverage.

Travel Medical Emergency Claims

All travel medical (out of province) incidents must be reported directly to CanAssistance, Beneva Inc.’s travel assistance provider, immediately when a medical incident occurs. Do not wait until you are back in your home province.

Health & Dental Claims

Health & Dental claims and inquiries are handled directly by Green Shield Canada Insurance. For assistance submitting a claim or for questions about an existing claim, contact Green Shield Canada Insurance’s Customer Service Department at 1-888-711-1119 or visit www.greenshield.ca.

Health & Dental claims can also be submitted electronically by using Green Shield Canada Insurance’s Online Services or their mobile app, GreenShield+.

Disability & Special Risk Claims

To report a claim for Disability Insurance, Business Overhead Expense, Critical Illness, Guaranteed Issue Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, or Fracture Accident Benefits, you may use EDGE’s online claim form or contact our Claims Customer Care Centre.
